Description
Native to North America, this mammal is the largest of its kind after the polar bear. Its dark brown color has shades of blond, brown and black, but it is the gray end of its hair that has earned its name Grizzly Bear (grizzled, meaning gray). This omnivore lives alone and feeds mainly on plants (berries, roots …). However, he sometimes devours fish, ants, bees or young mammals such as elk. In order to last all winter, the Grizzly Bear feeds intensively all summer long before returning to his den and hibernating from November to March.
